More from the Editor…part II–
Since it has been a while since I posted, I wanted to share more from my editor as the final stages of pre-publication are being completed.
"Overall, this piece is wonderful and reminds one of some of the better stories from The No Sleep Podcast (highly recommended by the way). It is interesting, intense, gripping, and does not shy away from the gore associated with animal attacks. In similar works, the dearth of realistic imagery can take the reader out of the moment and this piece does the opposite. Your editor hopes to see this in print very soon and will happily buy a copy." – Editor, BookBaby
This is one of the greatest compliments of any writing I have ever done. I have loved The NoSleep Podcast for years, and having someone compare my story to my favorite podcast put me over the moon. Before getting this review, I had written three short stories while writing SPECIES: Cabin 6 and submitted two to the podcast for consideration. It could be a long time before I hear back from them. I will let everyone know if they do like them enough to put them on the show. If they want them or decide to pass, I may hold onto those stories and keep them for a future anthology project.
So, if you like scary stories and need something to hold you over or gear you up for my upcoming novel, check them out. And continue to check for updates from me. Next month, we should be in the 'pre-order' stage.
